The same book has other illustrations, interesting are those of Alexandre de Riquer, a Catalan. Wikipedia says “Alexandre de Riquer i Ynglada, 7th Count of Casa Dávalos (Catalan pronunciation: [???k?sand?? ð? ri?ke]) (Born May 3, 1856 - November 13, 1920), was a versatile artist intellectual and Catalan Spanish designer, illustrator, painter, engraver, writer and poet. He was one of the leading figures of Modernism in Catalonia. He belonged to an aristocratic family, the Counts of Casa Dávalos. His father, Martí de Riquer, Marquis of Benavent, was a senior leader of the Carlist of Catalonia, while his mother, Elisea Ynglada, belonged to a family of intellectuals and artists (including writers such as Joseph and Wifred Coroleu and painter Ricard Modest Urgell).” I was looking for a connection between both artists (Larsen and Riquer) and the only one appears the great influence of William Morris. Though there were other coincidences as the great number of childs they got with their only wife and that this could be the reason of the prolific artistic life to have enough money to support such a big family. I was very attract by the illustration of the third picture that is very near to the English Aesthetic movement and the quality of the engrave, I am sure that the other design of the endpapers (second picture) and the back cover were made by him. When your search on the web you find designs that were made several year later and you can see that he clearly go to a much Art Nouveau style that is very similar to that of Mucha (last picture) was taken from a web page plain of information about his work http://www.gaudiallgaudi.com/EDd01%20A%20de%20Riquer%20Otras%20actividades.htm
