I bought this while living in the UK (1978-1981). I was wandering around Banbury and happened across a dusty old shop not too far from the Banbury Cross. It was owned by a little old lady who had her white hair piled on top of her head in a bun. This necklace was hanging from a beam by a nail. It was the only thing I bought that day, and paid 1 Pound for it. I have only ever seen one other, and that was in 1984 in an antique shop in Illinois. That necklace was a good 4 inches shorter than mine, but otherwise exactly the same. The price tag said $75.00. Gulp.
