I am simply in love with this necklace. It is made in silver (links) and gold (chain), and ornamented with stones in the Suffragette colours, green (peridots), white (diamonds), and violette (amethysts). The design screams art nouveau, and it may well be Continental. Tadema Gallery has attributed this model to Murrle Bennett, but it is not signed, except for 375 (9ct) on the chain, so it could be by another jeweller of similar quality. There are variations of this model with different stones, and its twin in gold and diamonds recently sold for a small fortune. I was fortunate to secure this one by much less! I hope you will love it as much as I do.

Very beautiful, there was a similar one sold on ebay a few weeks ago. It was marked 15ct gold, it also wasn't signed, I was tempted, but decided not to.

Just gorgeous! I wonder with the specific color stones if this was somewhat of a "mothers ring" in the choice of stones? Really awesome.

Paul bought a similar necklace, recently earrings and other necklaces appeared on the market.
Jewels1900 and I are suspicious about that...
We shared infos on Paul's buckle post

The price was fair though and the design is really lovely :-)

Thanks to all the 'lovers'. Kyra, I do understand your concern... but as you said, for what I paid I wouldn't mind that much if it were a reproduction, the design is still lovely. Nonetheless I do think it might be antique, I can see some patina to it, and the detail is really spot on. I however have my doubts about it being MB&Co. The attribution was made by Tadema Gallery on an piece identical to the gold one that sold last month... which may as well be from the same 'badge', antique or not: http://www.tademagallery.com/content.htm
I actually don't mind having vintange or repro pieces as long as the quality is good, what I don't like is when sellers try to mislead. I have to say I do not feel cheated in this case, but I agree that we have to watch out for fakes and 'bad' sellers. Thanks anyways for the heads up, that's why I love CW!

I have a friend in London who told me these have been sold as original at the London markets for a little while now. I agree with Belle, as long as they are not misrepresented and the buyer knows, it doesn't matter. I think the Tadema one was marked for MB&Co but even though, I'd be really wary now, if I was specifically after antique (which I usually am unless I'm buying for someone else who just wants the look).

Totally agree with you and Jewels1900 about buying it for what it is, as beautiful and correctly priced :-)
