This thing has baffled me from day one. It seems to be almost metal. 6 inches tall. Magnets do not stick. I included a close-up of the foot where it seems to have chipped off and it is solid. Any ideas on age and manufacturer? Thanks in advance.
Nancy Ann Bisque Storybook doll , Usually marked but not always visible or she is a Nancy Ann look a like , Nancy Ann dolls had very well made clothes .
I have seen and felt bisque dolls. This does not feel like that
Bodies may be bisque or plastic. The bisque does not have the look and feel of antique bisque or newer porcelain dolls . They did not make them from composition which is only other material these types of dolls are made of unless a look a like.Because foot has been touched up with black paint I can't tell what is under it . Can you show a spot that was not retouched ? or loop on arm maybe .
oops typo they did make them a few of composition with stiff neck like yours along with copy cats
