A fascinating little book which lists porcelain/faience marks for many countries. There are marks listed going as far back as the 1500s, as well as Oriental marks dating to the 1100s. I bet many of these marks are not to be found anywhere on the worldwide web. The book is in pretty good condition, overall.
The internet tells me that this is a rare book, but not wildly valuable.

Even so, what a find! I'm very pleased!
awesome research book to have on hand!!
Sean68 > That's exactly what I thought when I flipped through it while still in the thrift shop. The book is printed by photolithography: "Photolithographie et te'rage algraphiuqe, Meisenback, Riffarth &Co, Berlin, Leipzig, Munchen". I feel privileged to own it.
I agree with Sean what a great research book. Some of those marks may have been lost to time with the only record being in your book.
mikelv85 - exciting, isn't it! :-D
Yeah! Internet is not the only source for doc... Always useful to get these, great buy, Efe!
I live in the Netherlands, and the Delft marks go back to 1639. I know alot less about porcelain than jewelry, so this will be very interesting for me. Fortunately, though, I am interested in old books. Otherwise, I never would have found it. :-)
Thanks, all~!
