Recent junk store find. Vintage mahogany humidor with no mfg. marks, but info sheet inside says produced for Puerto Rico Tobacco Co. for La Restina cigars. Included is a small glass bottle with cork that has tiny hole through it, (possibly for use with a wick). The lid is lined with perforated steel that has a 1/2" hole that allows the cork to contact a thick strip of paper located behind the metal, possibly to facilitate humidification.
Has anyone ever seen a humidor with this type of humidifier? Does it use a wick? Does anyone know how old this might be?
I bought this to give to my friend as a birthday present, and would appreciate any additional info.
I don't know why my photos are upside down. Sorry about that!
Very nice find I have never seen that type of humidor with a bottle to put humidly inside .
