The link above is exactly the same necklace, the only difference is my necklace has multi coloured stones. This necklace is a famous design of Instones, but I have never seen one with different coloured stones. There are two Amethyst stones a smoky quartz, I think a synthetic Ruby and maybe the blue one is a sythetic Sapphire.
The larger middle Amethyst has a completely different cut to the rest, the smoky Quartz and the blue stone have the same cut and the outside stones have a different cut but they are both the same cut. I have photographed both sides so you can have a better look.
The back is classic Instone, so neat in finishing his work. Yet again no hallmarks or makers Mark. Probably made during the 1930s, I'm so very lucky to have had the opportunity to have bought this.
Could do with some help with the stones.

Hi shareurpassion, I've put another link up showing a Amethyst necklace in the same style. I have seen Amethyst and Citrine and I think a moss agate I'm not a hundred percent sure on that one.
The piece your referring to is one of my African gourd, I did have them on my post but I deleted some of my item by accident, when I have time I'll repost.

Difficult to help for the stones from pics... As you know, Instone used too man made gems, so, you may be right for synthetic ruby and sapphire.

Hi Kyra, in my opinion the Pink or red and the blue stones are synthetic. The colours are far to bright.
