I recently got this Art Deco sterling silver and marcasite necklace. It's a very pretty piece but I need some help identifying the green stone. I believe it chrysoprase but I'm wondering if anyone knows what the honeycomb effect is. Is it a synthetic stone? You can mostly see the effect when light is shined on it.
    I'd appreciate any help.
    Thanks

The name chrysoprase is commonly applied to green stained chalcedony/agate (genuine Chrysoprase is a different stone).

Your stone is certainly a bubble agate green stained and sliced to get this pattern.

Google images for bubble agate to see what I talk about :-)
