This is a Zuni petit point Turquoise pendant by Paul Jones, made between the 1970s -80s. I remember travelling to Nevada and Arizona and admiring the beautiful Turquoise jewellery, many moons ago. I've always regretted not buying any, I just forgot. This pendant was on the UK ebay and it stirred the memories of the years gone by, so I bought the pendant and started to reseach these wonderful pieces of Jewellery that the Native Indians made. I think this pendant is Zuni petit point but it could also be Navajo, I would appreciate, if I'm wrong someone putting me straight.

So pretty!! If I had a couple of thousand $$ I didn't know what to do with, it would be spent on Navajo/Zuni jewelry....
Hi Elesgirl, thanks for your comment. I must admit I get angry with myself for not taking more interest in the Native American Indian when I was in the States. Saying that I wasn't really into Jewellery then. But I'm going to keep my nose to the ground and watch and take a keener interest.

Paul Jones is Navajo, so although the style resembles Zuni work, it is actually Navajo.
The mark "P. Jones, Sterling" is listed in Barton Wright's "Hallmarks of the Southwest" and identified as that of Paul Jones, Navajo.
