Chair I just bought

Hi..I bought this chair online before seeing it up close. I love the detail. Once I picked it up, it appears much older than what I thought. I cannot find any markings; it looks hand stitched; looks like original nails; and even the fabric looks original.

I wanted to see if anyone had information on the chair. I am not an antique collector, I just love the look of them. I want to refinish and maybe attempt to reupholster it. But if I shouldn't or should do it a certain way because of the age then I want to do it the right way. Thanks for any information anyone may have!
