This is a beautiful early to mid 1600s Jacobean chair.
It is made of English oak.
Practical and charactistic design of the era, it has a paneled back with high cresting and ornate scrollwork.
Also has the characteristic spiral turned front stretcher.
A rare a beautiful piece in my office!
