I have no clue what this is. I think it might be silver with some gold and the stone looks almost like a ruby. I have spent some time on line and could not find anything close. I tried mid-century modern, brutalist,.... The only thing am certain about is that it looks like one-of-a-kind and handmade.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for looking:)
I can tell you that it's beautiful! Is there only a .925 stamp inside?
No, there is no stamp for silver, only one for 14k gold. But based on the look of it, I believe that the ring might be silver with gold accents. I have not cleaned it yet. As for its look: I somehow was drawn to it. It is not the usual kind of design.
Thanks for your comment, Efesgirl:)
Thanks a lot, Trey and mikelv85:)
Vetraio50, thanks a lot:)
I really love the style of this!
Looks like a slice of watermelon tourmaline.

very, very UNIQUE!!
Is there a jeweler's mark at all on it ??
Just my kind of thing, wow, great piece. I hope you find out who made it.
T.A. is right, watermelon tourmaline :-)
beautiful artisan piece for sure!
Thanks so much for your comments, racer4four, T A, antiquerose, katherinescollections, and kyratango. Thanks to your help I learned something new: The ring has a watermelon tourmaline stone. I never heard about it but when I compared my ring with some photos, I had to agree with you.
I believe that the inside reads "B Long" or "B Lang" - the jeweler's mark, maybe? I searched on line but couldn't find anything.
Also many thanks to kivatinitz:)
Absolutely one of a kind. I've never heard of a watermelon tourmaline - the first lesson today. Anyway, I could look after it for you any time.
Thanks a lot, Gillian, I think I can handle it. The only real problem I have is that nothing really matches with it. I guess I have to find some more LOL
Oh freiheit, lesson numero uno, when you buy something that doesn't match anything, that's the perfect excuse -- er, reason -- to go out and buy something that does, lol. This ring deserves all that and more, it is simply wonderful. Lucky!
I will tell my husband! Thanks for your comment and the excuse I will surely use! (He won't like it too much, but he always tries to be on my good side)
Oh, lucky you with such fine ring and a husband so kind :-))
Happy to help freiheit. If it doesn't tarnish, it could be white and yellow 14K gold :)

Kyratango, yes the ring is kind of neat, and my husband doesn't give me too much to complain about - LOL
TubeAmp, the ring was sold as 14K gold, like the stamp said but I didn't think that it was white gold. The store I got it from usually tests their jewelry but I still have a feeling that the ring is sterling with some gold accents (Sometimes they are wrong!). I bought it not for the gold but because of the unique design. If it turns out to be gold, it would be an added bonus:) and I hope you are correct! Thanks again.
