The Japanese must love their Chinese zodiac because many of the animals from Japan I own have been made as part of a zodiac series.

These are by Kurata Glass and typically well modelled.
Kurata's animals are generally a bit more serious than Marti's take on things but still very appealing.

I really love my chimp here, he's so real, and the dog looks just like it should for the breed it is (which I can't remember but you will!).

    12cm (4.5in) and 17cm (7in)

I have to say Karen, I have just loved your other dogs, so now I'm giving these a love. Are these two Japanese Akita's.

      Thanks again Katherine.

Yes Jean, Akita is one, the other a chimp or gorilla or some other ape (football player?). Thanks!

It's really funny I didn't pick up on the Chimp/Gorilla it's funny how your brain plays tricks on you.

      its not a foo dog...lol

they are sweet Karen, very sweet. I have a finer appreciation for them as I have the Murano owls and swans sitting next to me now when I work and I find myself looking at them just like I do, my vases....

      Do you have many animals?

Personally I'd love to collect cats like my mother did...
