I have two Lionel 717 scale cabooses. The trucks are both simulated springs but the wheels on one are "whirly" wheels, and the other caboose has embossed inside the wheels "700E-10". Are both these wheels correct for the 717 caboose? Or, is one correct and one not correct? If they both came on the caboose, which is more common? Thanks in advance for anyone knowledgeable about this.

The whirly wheels look like the lionel early 1945 set wheels that came out just after the war. They came on a thick axle that was turned at the ends to accept the wheel. Later they changed to a deep dish varity wheel with a slightly different axel. I wwould like to kno uf they are all one piece and splinned to the axle or 3 pieces. I have a whirly wheel I am trying to identify. - Dave
