Overall length 58mm. Found August 2015 in ploughed field near
Stroud, Glos.

I usually associate triangular face keys with water valves. Example: French fire hydrants.
Reminds me of a Buster bin lid key, we have plastic one now to lock the lid
Possibly an old clock winding key?
