Measurements: 15" deep, 46" wide, 60" tall
Wood Appears to be finished in mahogany, over solid oak and other wood layers.
The glass, brass lock and key, originals.
This piece has been in the family 50+ years. It was originally from a Victorian home in NE Ohio late 1800s, active business and collegiant family for nearly a century.
Curious as to where this handsome piece originated? Is it iShaker or New England? Or perhaps another style? What was the maker like? Gifted craftsman? Is it special? What was its intended purpose?
Please would you take more pics, so the piece is in sufficient light to be seen. I don't believe questions like: "What is the make like? Gifted craftsman? Is it special? can be answered - unless we have an extraordinary expert on furniture here. I'm sure someone can come along and give y0u some other answers.
