    These precious "pups" belonged to my mother and they were passed to me. I remember looking at them for hours when I was young. She told me they were carnival glass, given to her when she was very young. I have never seen anything like them before. They are very dear to me.

      Jeannette Glass made a series of these animal powder jars in the 1950s (I think).

      There are a number of them in books, particularly one I remember is Bedroom and Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years is a title of a book that your library may get for you to read.
