Marx Toys was sold to the Quaker Oats Company in 1972 and along with that came a new design for the Johnny West series of figures. Five figures came with this style of box known as the Mod box. Chief Cherokee was the same as the previous version aside from the box. Fighting Eagle was revived after a five year absence with a new colored body. The original had reddish colored body and the new one was Carmel colored.
The Chief's box has a Woolco price tag on but the price has faded. Woolco was short lived 5 and dime that went out of business in 1982.
I enjoy the vintage price stickers. Removing them damages the box and removes part of the item's history so please leave vintage price stickers intact.
Wow, what a collection you have!! Incredible to say the least.
Did any company make a 12 inch Tonto (besides the Captain Action version)? If so I would love to know. These are very cool though, were there any female Indians in the johnny West series?

Thank you kindly jscott0363. I fear I do have a lot of toys.
Thank you Vincent. There is a 10" Tonto from the Gabriel Lone Ranger series.
Marx released Princess Wildflower in 1974. We are almost done with 1973 and 1974 is coming soon.
Thank you
