A Susie Cooper cake plate...just over 250 mms in Diameter across handles.
Brown with Lion rampant and I have never seen another one like it in my searches for Susie Cooper pieces. I mainly collect her work from the 30 s so this is a bit of a variation for me as it was produced in 1950 or 51.

      Fabulous Plate !!!!

      Thanks for sharing it !!!!

All of this sgraffito is hand done ... No??
Mind you her designs are so clever that even the printed wares seem hand done.

I should explain a bit about CW .... the photos get inverted.

I take all of my photos these days on an iPad .... always in the 'square' format.
You then need to edit each photo slightly.
Then they go into the right position.

The important part is just the edit.
Do that and it becomes easy.

Thanks for the advice...same thing happens with Ebay photographs.
The Sgraffito is certainly very fine and seems hand done, but I would like to see a couple more examples to compare before being certain. There is also some Gold paint applied...mainly the Crown...again by hand.
