These 'plain' cake stands are often called 'baker's stands' for their reported used in bakeries. I was fortunate to find this one and also the 1882 McKee & Brothers 1882 Illustrated Catalog where it was included.

I love this cake stand. It's hard for me to explain it. Simply elegant!?! lol Every time I'm out and about now when I see a cake stand I think of you! But then again, whenever I see any type of glass I think, "I bet Tall Cakes knows exactly what this is"!!! Wish I were that knowledgeable with glass. Must come in handy!
