I have seen a number of variations of this vase and in fact own another one, just can't find it. (Really! It's that bad here....)
Toshichi Iwata loved pulegoso (and passed it on) so that this design I think done by his son Hisatoshi uses it too.
It is such an unusual colour of glass, a light greenish blue, and where the solid colour has been added in spots it looks like paint splashes.
There is also the ink like black marks and at the base of the vase a slight bit of pink in the pulegoso.
The shape of this vase is just so Japanese - a transfer of one of their pottery shapes.
Variations of this vase don't have the clear foot. Unfortunately this vase didn't come with a box or any paperwork so I don't know if the master or a studio worker made this one.
Height 28cm (11in)
EDIT
I now know this is actually a Toshichi Iwata vase.
LOVE THE FORM & THE COLOUR !!!!!!
