Found this in an antique store filled with Candy Corn. Seems perfect for it. I thought: "this is Czech", but of course it is not marked. So, I ate some of the candy and went on. A friend of mine was buying something, so I showed him the candy and he thought it might be Czech too. So, I thought I would see how much it was and to my surprise it was $12. Sold! I thought it might be cut down, but a friend showed me a trick putting it upside down on a flat surface and see if it is really flat. It is. So, it looks good and looks Czech so is it? Regardless it is really nice. It measures 5 inches tall and about 8 inches across the widest part.
The first thing I thought: what a beautiful pattern and color combo! The second: did you know for sure how old the candy corn in the antique store was before you ate it?
Great colours...does it glow?..it looks like it might!..:-)
Thanks for the loves everyone. I don't have a light so I don't know if it glows. I always proceed cautiously when it comes to antique store candy. Sometimes it is as old as the container. In this case I was lucky, it was Halloween candy and fairly fresh.
Kralik bowl, very interested in this stuff. I have seen the pattern only twice before in blue with yellow and purple and red. These are the same colors as the pull-up/pull-down pieces but yours appears to be orange with red. The shape appears to be a bowl seen mostly in glue chip
