This Bracelet/bangle is very colourful. It is Silver gilt, with a filigree centre onto which are mounted alternate butterflies and Cornelian stones, the butterflies face in alternate directions, and are enamelled in black and yellow. There is a solid frame which from the inside has a lattice work joining the two sides, and on the outside of the frame there is a continuous line of swirls leading up to the stones and butterflies. On the inside of the tongue of the catch it is marked silver. I would say it is more of a bangle than a bracelet, it also has a safety chain. The gilt is very yellow and blends in very well with the enamel work and the Cornelian stones, in some of the photos some of the stones are almost red. I reckon it is a 50/60s piece.
If you have anything to add, please do.
Many thanks for looking.
The only thing I can add is to say that it's beautiful!
Lovely thing!
As I don't know much about jewellery can I ask how you know this is Chinese?
Lol, good question Karen. To me it looks a Chinese filigree bracelet, I suppose with the enamelling and Cornelian which the Chinese use a lot, also last but not least it's made of Silver gilt, but eh I might be wrong. Kyra I need your expertise here.

Hi Karen I've just been surfing the web, I came up with this link. The butterfly is very important in Chinese culture. I remember they use the butterfly a lot in their jewellery, so I hope that atones for my sin, lol. I should have done some research and not automatically assumed this was Chinese. I still need Kyra for a second opinion.
I'm not doubting you Jean just interested. I'm sure your knowledge adds up to enough to attribute it!
Thanks Karen, I know your not doubting me, I'm glad you asked the question. :-)
