This was from father-in-law's collectibles. He served in China Burma India during WW2. Would appreciate any information on the history.

He apparently was seriously involved. Know what he did in that theater?

He built roads in China Burma India. No idea what the ring is for.

If it was me, I would do some serious research on what units he was in & their missions. That was a rough theater & your wife would probably appreciate info on the hardships her father went thru. Do it on the sly & surprise her or get her involved. Either way, I promise, you will win! Just my 2¢. I would like to know what you find also.
