These are two pieces of furniture I bought from a Habitat for Humanity Restore location. I am not able to determine the manufacturer or any pertinent details about the pieces. I would like to know more about this furniture. Please help me identify it!!!!!
Oh boy! Those are brocade. Brocade furniture was quite popular in the 1950s. No idea who made them, but they are are nice! No labels underneath?
Wow, that sofa has got to be twelve feet long! :)
Efesgirl-I just purchased them and have not had an opportunity to pick them up. Once I have them I am definitely going to look for any labels or identifying markers.
katherinescollections-it is very long. Once I pick it up I will post its measurements. I showed this picture to a co-worker and she said it reminded her or a white leather sofa in Elvis Pressley's home.
You must have a very long livingroom wall.... :)
Efesgirl...I do have a very long wall in my living room but I actually plan to float it in the room. I have a very long Regency style sofa table and a Moroccan rug (Beni Ouarain/Beni M'rirt) rug to anchor it. To note I plan to re-upholster the sofa and side chair with dual fabrics both "gun metal" in color; 1 with a monochromatic gator print, and the other in a solid. The animal print will be used on the back and sides of both pieces and the solid will be used on the front of the sofa (arms/seat cushions/back (tufted)). I will also pipe with the animal print.
Be interested to see the pieces when you're done with them. :)
