5 years ago I owned another example of this decor in the exact same form standing 5 1/2" tall. A friend talked me out of it and now it resides in the Loetz exhibit at the PASK Museum in the Czech Republic. The last photo compares the two pieces to show the wide range of variation that can be found among the same Loetz decor on the same form with the same color ground, in this case Russian green. The new vase was photographed using the exact same lighting, 5500K considered to be the closest to true sunlight, on my table top studio.
The newly aquired vase has a more golden underlying iridescence. The veining looks more like rivers of two tone blue and the circular forms are tighter constructed compared to the almost floral shape of the other.
The third photo shows the vase in two different locations, on two different tables, first lit by ambient room light provided by a door on the left while the other image was lit by a bank of shaded windows on the right.
