This green flash glass creamer is a souvenir from the 1913 Bloomsburg, PA Fair. It is in excellent shape, and is a nice contrast to the red flash glass.
The Bloomsburg Fair is one of the longest running fairs in the USA with this year's edition being its 160th run.
I've seen a lot of ruby red flash glass, but not much of the green. Can anyone add which of the two colors were more common, and if any other colors were used in flash glass? Thanks
Thank you, Efesgirl…I appreciate the love!
it's not green 'flash' as it is actually green glass with gold décor. Your cream pitcher is U.S. Glass Co. #15057 'Colorado' c1898. This pattern was also made in crystal and also in blue glass with gold décor, also some pieces were made with the ruby stain. 'Flashing' is the process of adding a thin layer of glass over the base layer in 'blown' glass and was not used in pressed glass.
Great ID, Sir TallCakes. :)
