This is a delicate art noveau brooch with beautiful pearlwhite enamel. It´s beautifully made. I believe this brooch was made sometime early 1900's. I can see it has the Swedish Three Crown mark although the mark is half as the third lower Crown didn´t fit on the C clasp. I can´t make out the other mark, maybe it´s just saying 830S? I think this is silver but the goldtone makes med think it´s gilded. I don´t know who made this it´s not marked with a makers mark like Swedish pieces normally are.

Some of the detailes in the doomed, cirkular filigree has resemblance to a necklace in another post here on CW (wavy edge on the metall). See moonstonelover21's post by a maker with the unidentifyed mark OK:
    http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/88170-antique-georgian-blue-enamel-gilt-silver
And a link to a brooch made by the same maker as made her necklace:
    http://www.lauritz.com/sv/auktion/antik-brosch-jugend-och-halskedja-i-silver-2/i3823432
But I also think my brooch looks a bit like the pieces by norweigan Clements Berg. On the other hand the Three Crowns mark is not the elipse importmark.

Any ideas on the style, the mark and possible maker is welcome, thanks!

      Oh. Wow.
Elisabeth I can't get over this. It is one of the best Jugendstil pieces I have ever seen.
      So stylish and beautiful.

Racer4you, thankyou so much for those words! I'm grateful. I bought it on an ebayauction together with a contempory necklace and bracelet that are quite dull. In the last somewhat blury photo I could see the brooch. I was hoping it would be somewhat like this. I didn't pay a lot. You can imagine how happy I was when I received it! I love it. I have worn it on a large black art noveau style scarf/schal (?). It's eyecatching and very nice to wear.

Kerry that's so nice of you! Thanks for taking the time to write this. I'm grateful. I bought this a few days ago and it's laying on my dressingtable. Everytime I pass it I have to look and have the same thoughts as you, adding the question who made this? :)

You're very welcome, I too will be watching to see if positive id is made...again very interesting piece
    17. Elisabethan Elisabethan, 9 years ago
Kerry did you look at the links i added, a brosch and a necklace very similar in style by norweigan Clement Berg? Your opinion? Thanks again :)

I've been intouch with a person who knows norweigan silver and although the style is very much norweigan art noveau this is most likely a swedish brooch. So the maker is unknown.
