I am not sure what this is. On one end it is marked CHRISTOFFEL BKTT.
The other end is marked A Pat. March 90. I believe it to mean 1890.
It is 12 1/2 inches long and 4 inches in diameter in the middle. The top has a nut and what looks to be a spring tension. The bottom has a fitting which looks to be a pipe thread.
I think it must have had a use other than ornamental. It sure is a neat looking hunk of metal. I would appreciate any help identifying it. Thank you so much.
I believe this tool is used to clean the flue tubes of a steam tractor boiler. It would have been mounted on a loooong steel rod.

Thank you for your help. I greatly appreciate it. I think your information has made this a much neater hunk of metal. Or should I say a really cool flue cleaner.
