Does anyone know what this antique table is, or was? It has vintage metal wheels and a wooden partition in the middle of the table. I thought that maybe it was a dough/bread making table, but I haven't found anything like it online.

Ping Pong? But the divider looks too tall. The first office cubicle - sorry. I think some kind of farming device. Wonder if it is missing some turners on the sides - three holes in a line.

Post a picture of the end view down the table proper. Side view says little. I would say vintage as opposed to being an antique.

Thank you for your comments. When my sister took the picture, we didn't have in mind to post it online. So, sorry the view is only a side view. The table is in my mom's storage unit about 60 miles from here. I won't be able to get another pic for probably a couple weeks. I'll post more pics at that time... and, fhrjr2, I wasn't sure to say it was antique or vintage. What circa or dates define each term? Thanks again.

Oh, from memory, it is about the size of a coffee table. Maybe about 5' long x 2' wide and appx 2' tall. As far as I remember, the divider in the middle is solid. It is also really snug, but looks like it used to be able to slide upwards.

My money is on a laundry table. Mount a hand-crank wringer in the middle with tubs on both sides - one for hand washing the clothes and the other to put the wrung-out garments in. I've got one that folds up that we use for seasonal decorating. Holds pumpkins at the moment. Mine is a bit taller, though - about 3 feet.

I would agree with Pencil about this being used for laundry tubs and a wringer. These usually were not painted just varnished and sometimes had a makers company name screened on them. Very unique!

Okay, that might just be what it is Pencil and Rustfarm. I never would have guessed it to be for wash tubs and a wringer, but that makes a lot of sense. It explains why it was never painted too. Thanks for your input!
