This is a beautifully crafted bamboo box. When i lived in Honduras many years ago, i was given a section of bamboo which had a colony of stingless bees inside it. i could open it by untying the rattan ties and drink the delicious, fruity honey every month or so. i hung it on the outside of my bamboo house and they just thrived. not sure what i'll put in this piece though. i think it's probably from Japan. it's absolutely air-tight.
