    I think this is a hat pin but not sure I don’t even know what its made of if anyone has seen one like this and can help with some information that would be grate Its over 6'' long It dose not stick to a magnet I cant find any marks on it Thank you

      Hello Teresa,
      I'm certainly NO expert but I do think you have a hat pin there! I can't imagine anyone wearing a stick pin that was over 6" in length! Seen many with one filagree ball on top, but not two like this one has.

      It is a hatpin but is also a modern-made hatpin. Antique hatpins were not constructed as this, with two ornaments stacked on a pinstem. The size though makes this useful today whereas a lot of the antique hatpins are too long to wear safely.
