So even though this globe appears to be missing whatever was at the top, it was so pretty, and it goes with the other green art glass I've been collecting, and was well within my spending limits -- it came home with me. 5" approximately, heavy and thick, slightly flattened at the bottom, round mouth blown, and you can see the crevices where the glass was pulled to make the decor. Perhaps this had something on the top, maybe an atomizer, although it could be a vase or some sort of ornament. Has a very pretty iridescent pink and purple shimmer, you can kind of see it in the second photo. If anyone has any thoughts to share, I'm happy to hear. I hope you enjoyed seeing this lovely piece of glass, and thanks for looking.
TubeAmp posted a link to a company which produces glass oil lamps that look like this globe, looks like the mystery is solved.
Thanks for the love, Sean. :)

This is so lovely Katherine. When I first saw the little image I thought "Japanese"!
Very much their type of decor.
Very pretty! I am partial to the color green, anyway...
