I found these more than a year ago in a very small local second hand shop. I think the shop woman thought they were brass. The earrings are hollow inside. I've had good buys in that shop before - usually a buck or two for silver. This was real luck~!

Thanks for the love and comments! I also fished out an 18K gold pendant from Italy out of this same shop a couple of months ago. That cost me 50 Cents....the scrap value was $14.00 ( it was REALLY small). I later sold it to an Italian for a profit. :-D

I took the earrings to my friend at the pawn shop, and she weighed them and said the scrap value is $155.00. Retail is close to $500.00. Imagine that.

Don't you love that European gold that's not marked with a K so few thrift store clerks or estate sale companies knows what it is? Another one of my favorites it's the 14KP, they think it means "plate" but it actually means "plumb." Got $900 in a gold bracelet with that mark just this weekend. And we have to give a shoutout to the Mexican mark "plata" for silver that looks like it probably means "plate." God, years ago I got a HUGE tray that had over $3k in silver because of that mark... Ignorance is bliss... MY bliss!!!
Stillwater - yes, I certainly do! Last year I bought a 14K gold brooch with accent diamonds that was marked KT14. 5 bucks. Also got a 14K white gold brooch with two diamonds for a buck - marked 585 but looked like silver. Much of my gold comes to me that way. My best find to date is my 18k Rolex design ring, which is also posted here. Flea market find, 50 cents. All there is to see is a tiny stamp of "750". I took it to two jewelers for verification. Woot woot!

It's just one of those hollow clamper bangles that has flowers and stuff on it, nothing earth shattering, but it's big and heavy

Lol okay sure! I'll post all of it. I got that bangle in the back during a pre-sale, it's a lot thicker and heavier than they usually are.
She told me there would be a lot of gold the next day, so I came back and made an offer on all of it.
I know this estate company real well, they're older people, old school, they don't know about calculating or scrapping their gold, they just put a price that seems reasonable for the 1990's when they started doing estate sales, they never updated you know? Still kinda surprised they excepted my offer though, which was $450.
Theres 93 grams of 14 and 2 pieces are 18, which is about $2,250. I have a connection with a good refinery that gives me 98.5% spot, so I made out well on this one:

You certainly did! I find gold every now and again that goes for scrap, but nothing on the scale of what you bought. :-)))
I'm a total gold-hound. I learned early on that if you want to make a lot of (semi) easy money, learn how to sniff out gold, especially unmarked gold. Plus my family has a huge background in jewelry, so I was taught a lot growing up. I'm also nearsighted so I don't need to waste time using a loupe : ) Just a quick peek and on to the next piece
