Found by my grandfather whilst digging the garden and no idea what it is, how old or where it was made. It looks very old but?
About 10cms high, hollow. Ceramic? Porcelain? China? Pink britches. Green jacket (probably). Pot belly. Beard? Shoulder amulets. Fancy feathers in his hat. Holding something red in his left hand.
I would love to know anything about him.

Might be a Staffordshire flatback if you live in the UK.

could the pink represent bare skin?!

It does seem to be in the style of Staffordshore flatbacks. And its back lies flat, although there is colouring on the back.
      There are no makers' names.
I have searched the internet - many, many flatbacks of similar colouring / design but not one of this gentleman.
I don't think the pink is flesh but it could be, I suppose.
I do live in the UK.
Thanks for the replies. I will mark the item as solved if I get no further helpful comments.
