I bought this brooch a few weeks ago, the seller asked me if I knew who the maker was, unfortunately I got it wrong. So I'm going to ask you people if you have any ideas, of course I can't join in because I know who it is now.
No hallmark usually the case with me, but it is Silver. From the back I would suggest that it is a moulding, but looking at the front I feel that the basic moulding as then been hand engraved with decorative leaves and berries. There are four stones, a Moonstone, Garnet I think and Chrysophrase and I'm not sure of the blue one probably a Agate. The mount of the Moonstone is the only one which has a open back.
The clasp is a usually design.
Many thanks for looking.
No idea for the maker, the stones color combo is very pleasant :-)
Thanks kyra, for your comment. I'll leave it for a couple more days and see if anybody else has any ideas.
Many thanks

The seller who I bought this brooch off believes that this brooch is by Bernard Instone. As you can see from the link I've put on above, she stopped working in 1939, she never went back to work. After the war her partner W. Maths son reopened their shops, this I think is when Bernard Instone designed and made jewellery items for Sybil Dunlop.
Predictive text the name of Sybil Dunlops partner was W. Nathanson. I'll be interested in people's thoughts on this.
This is another fabulous piece Jean. You have such amazing taste. Do these just fall from the sky for you?! ;)
Thank you shareurpassion, for leaving a lovely comment :-)
