here's a Gulf War era M1 Steel helmet that was used by the UAE [United Arab Emirates] or SAUDI ARABIA with a simple desert tan shell with brown camo paint with matching liner and also has a soldier's name written under the visor of the helmet liner, the steel shell appears to be US mfg, but the liner is probably mfg by the South Koreans or possibly Taiwan for export to the Saudi military.
The soldier in the photo is wearing a similar camo helmet during the Gulf war back in 1990 - 1991
The Gulf War, codenamed Operation Desert Shield for operations leading to the buildup of troops and defense of Saudi Arabia and Operation Desert Storm in its combat phase, was a war - in the Persian Gulf.
A lovely lid BG and one I am still trying to source for my own collection my personal preferance would be a variation of the M1 -C such as the example posted by James over at the WRF but I find these helet's very scares in the market place.

very nice indeed battlegear ,im glad you finally found an example ,the way you display your items are just superb ,interesting to see the shell has the m75 chinstrap upgrade but there is no denying it has seen life in the sandbox judging by how bleached the chin strap mid section is ,congrats on a really nice find ,mark i should really post mine on here too ,its been a while since i last frequented
Hi James yes I would love to see your example I am quite envious of you both.
I as well should post here more often as it is a good venue to showcase ones collection.
Regards Mark
I agree, this place is good for back up, to save old photos and use for reference just in case the other forums ever go down.
