I purchased the table and the Lamp at a used furniture store and really do not know anything about them , I just loved them. The boy/ girl was a lamp and I plan on turning back into a lamp. He stands 23" tall from base to top of his hat.

The table is empire/regency style and they were being made until the 1960's basically. Some were made up to the 1980's in upscale art furniture stores, but a lot of them had bad brass repro work on them. This one is quite nice.

I think the boy is a beautiful lamp and know that they produced a good number of this style in the 1960's, most are in metal painted white. Yours is porcelain, possibly German or European, it appears to have a lot of nice detail. The Japanese ones usually are only 8 inches or so.

Thanks bladerunner22 for all your help. That helps get me started in a good place to find out more on the lamp
