I saw this and thought it quite interesting. I can not find anything on the wood carver who signed it but it looks to have some age to it. It stands approx. 15" high .

Ted Francis, Jr. is listed in Gregory Schaaf's book "Hopi Katsina, 1600 Artist Biographies," as is his father, Ted Francis Sr. But since it says that the Long Hair Kachina is one of Ted Jr.'s favoite figures, and this is a relatively recent style of carving, I would presume it is his.

Both were still carving in 2008, but Ted Jr. was represented at a number of galleries and trading posts, while his father was listed at only one outlet, B.J. Imports, in Cave Creek, AZ. You might try contacting them to see if they know whether this was made by the father or the son. Their phone number and contact information is available on line.

Thank you for this information and I will try contacting B.J. Imports as you suggested. I just thought this was such a unique piece and that I could find something online about the artist but I couldn't find anything . Thank you so much.
