Found in a barn, no marks or indication of manufacturer. What is it?
Has a wooden handle, seems to be galvanized construction. About 3.5 feet.

better put it back before they miss it ....lol ...hang in, we have a few old people in here who most likely used it ... ;- 0
Could it be a twist action mop wringer that attaches to a pail or mop bucket?
I don't think so. The outriggers on the base are fairly wide, and they have some kind of clamps. The metal base is probably 2' wide, so it would be a weird mop. When fully extended, the mop is only 3'-ish, so it would be fairly short. Interestingly, the handle will slide up and down, and the base of the handle assembly rides on rails that go from the front to the back of the base. Very strange (in an interesting way).
need more pictures and one should be a close up of the bottom part .... don't be shy
Will do. The handle is as heavy as a shovel handle. The item is no longer at my house, will get some closer-up pictures of the bottom part.
