Juice, custard bowl, saucer, and desert bowl set of four -- it is my understanding that if the bottom flower is double-outlined it is from the earlier productions (don't know if that is fact or not); not a high dollar collection, but cute all the same. Paid a fraction of what they sell for on ebay, so that makes it pretty sweet. And of course, if it's green I want it. Thanks for looking.
Thanks nutsabotas6!
looks like Tiara's 'Sandwich' pattern, which was made in various colors from 1970-1999. Tiara was a home sales subsidiary of Indiana Glass, and Indiana Glass did make most of the glass for Tiara but some was also made but other glass companies.
Oh wow, ok. Right now I have it categorized as "glassware" with no sub-category -- should I not post it since it isn't that old? Or do you have a recommendation on how I should categorize? Thanks again!
you're welcome. you may be able to select Indiana as a subcategory under glassware.
Thanks Caperkid
TallCakes are you out there? I was just reading up on Anchor Hocking Sandwich Glass -- I read that if the flower pattern is double-outlined it's Anchor Hocking; if not, then it may be Indiana/Tiara. Mine are double-outlined - are you sure mine is Indiana/Tiara? Just wondering!!
glad you looked closer; these sandwich patterns can be very similar. Replacements does have some good examples of each to compare. I wasn't picking up on the daisy design; agree these do look like Anchor Hocking after looking closer.
TallCakes, thanks! I love researching this stuff. While my very small collection will never retire me LOL, I just want to be certain of what I have. I am only just beginning this adventure, and while Anchor Hocking is not a high-dollar venture, it brings back fond memories of childhood at my grandmother's (who was very poor financially, but rich beyond measure in faith and love). Thanks again, I know I will be calling upon your vast knowledge - I hope you won't tire of me. Your collections are beautiful!
Thank you Robin56!
Very unusual MFT, for me at least, to see the decoration on the bottom... very nice set!
Thank you very much Rick55! I love my little set -- actually, the country store I bought them from has a few more pieces, thinking of going back and scooping them up!
Thanks Caperkid!
