Been trying to figure it out for a while now. Here's what I got. I do believe it's authentic but mixed between years and countries. Perrotts Cash Chemists is an English company and Rexall is American. I know that Mr. Ligget franchised American market with penny sales and bought out some English company known as Boots I think.. Only for several years before it being sold back to English. And I know that the former English dispensers were originally in herbs and apothecary which became illegal in at least the US. Which is why we buy our pharmicuiticals separate at checkout. Also that and I think only one Rexall store was caught selling drugs in this form because you can easily disguise them with old apothecary names. But is this just that? A salesman drug dealing"" case? I can't find Anything on Perrotts cash dispensary or the maker of jars. But the hard ware is stamped excelsior Stamford co. And the viles of seasoning seems too new but that material metal or super hard wood is hand crafted inside . Oh and jars were only supposed to be handled by the store after the lawsuit of cash and boots litigation . Which formed our CITIZENS group.
I love your post and the amazing history behind it. Very interesting.
