Got this from an older gentleman, who knows anything about it? Label says Capitol Furniture Manufacturing Corporation, but the archive department in Montgomery Alabama only has dates back to 1958 when the company changed its name.
I have a rocker very similar to this one, only I think the seat is a little narrower (mine is 18" wide) & mine also has a small, rocking footstool. My mom purchased it in the early 1960's. She called it a 'Nantucket Sewing Rocker'. It was made by: Elferdink's Nantucket Furniture Shop in Sawyer, MI. Under their name it says 'Authentic Reproductions'. My mom used to love to sew & crochet; this rocker was great for that or any kind of needle craft work because it has no arms to get in your way. It was also a short rocker made for ladies. The seat is 15" off the ground, a normal seat is about 18". I hope this helps some.
