    Please can you help with identifying this badge. All I know is that it has been in our family for over 40 years (apparently it used to belong to a great uncle).

    It is enamel and stamped "sterling" on the reverse.

    Approx Dimensions :-
    Length of pin - 32mm
    Length of flag - 13mm
    Height of flag - 10mm
    Weight - 2 grams

    Any help would be gratefully received.

      The flag is the Royal Ensign, the flag of the British Royal Navy

      These are usually called 'Sweetheart' pins or brooches and were popular during wartime and often worn by wives and girlfriends of serving personnel.
