This is a ring that my friend with no computer wants me to help her find out more on this ring. She wants to know what kind of stone it is and possibly the maker.
She asked for me to help her and hopefully somebody here can help me.

Looks like agate. The stamp looks to be incomplete, so it will be difficult to identify the silversmith.
