Dining room chair - possibly Canadian? trying to identify. May be from early 1900s? Not sure what else to say to figure out the identity.

Canada did have many, many mfg companies of furniture that came and left without a trace, harder to find evidence than a ufo. If you are from Canada it is likely a canadian piece, but seen so many chairs without a label.

Sometimes they may come up in catalogs from such companies as eatons who posted a lot of furniture in their catalogs in the 40's and late 30's. I have a lot of catalogs but mainly from 47 to 60 I bought. I have never checked the library to see if they have old catalogs there.

Thanks for your help bladerunner22. I've found many old Canadian Eaton Catalogues online and am getting closer: http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/mailorder/029006-119.01-e.php?page_ecopy=nlc003954.320&brws_s=1&brws=2&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&PHPSESSID=56r030hfruboeq1uev0ql7cqc6
