Does anyone know anything about this lamp. Cast metal (I think is die cast iron) Abe Lincoln bust in front of Gettysburgs Address. Bottom with bust and scoll is 7 3/4" high and 5 1/2 inches wide. The Stovepipe Hat lampshade is made from plastic and has holes in it to allow the heat from the lightbulb to escape. The hat is 10 1/2" front to back, 8" wide and
5 1/4" high. I have searched on-line but have not been able to find any information on this lamp.

Its a lamp made from abe lincoln bookends. Maybe try finding out who made those bookends. There are some sites on the web on bookends. Lots of bookend mfg made their lamps into bookends also.

I have seen this same lamp on ebay at least 2 times. Do you think the company that made the book ends would have made the base plate and back piece with the pipe for the wire was an afterthought? I'm only asking because you can definately see where the welding or whatever process they used. However you would also think that there would be more information on them on the internet.

Beat to the punch by 8 minutes. You've got one (?) bookend, and one very badly made hat to cover the very badly made lamp.
