Came across these vintage animated porcelain cats in my mother's collection. Have not found any others similar...marked Japan (about 3" high). Does anyone have any information on them? Thanks.

I think these are meant to hang on the side of plant pots or other similar things. They are very cute!

By the shape of the body, how the legs are positioned, I would say more of a wraparound item, but to what is anyone's guess. Cute figurines!

Thanks! Just added a photo of the back, also cute! We also thought they were a "holder" of some sort - tried candles but they stood at an angle.

Yeah, the angle has me puzzling here.
