    I am not sure what these two dishes were supposed to be used for. It could have been for candy or other food. Both dishes are in very good condition. I found one item on line with a similar pattern but without the golden bells.

      I'd call the larger one a celery dish. The smaller one could be for nuts?

      perhaps they were not intended for food, if not for the bathroom or dresser

      Thanks for your comments, scottvez and kivatinitz. The larger one of the pair is a bit shorter than the usual celery dishes. So, I am thinking: one for candies or nuts and the other one for the dresser, LOL, if this makes any sense.
