    This trinket belonged to my grAndmother, born in Denver in 1898. We have no idea what it was used for and are intrigued. Any ideas?

      Whist marker chips are typically numbered 1-4, but surely look a lot like yours. http://www.walker-poinsett.com/games/05583.htm

      Looking closer, you dont seem to have a number 5, only a smaller chip. Pretty sure that's what they are, Whist marker chips.
